What is Way2Quran?
Way2Quran is a free bilingual (Arabic / English) library of Holy Qur'an recitations from the world's leading Qaris. You can stream recitations online, download high-quality MP3 files, track a khatma (full Qur'an completion), and listen to 24/7 virtual Qur'an radio stations.
Is Way2Quran free to use?
Yes. All recitations are available for free streaming and download for personal, educational, and devotional use. No subscription, no intrusive ads.
How do I download a recitation as MP3?
Open the reciter's page, pick the recitation (e.g. Hafs 'an 'Asim), and click the download icon next to the surah to save a high-quality MP3 to your device. You can also download the reciter's full Qur'an in one archive directly from the reciter page.
Which Qira'at (recitation modes) are available?
The library covers the ten canonical Qira'at where recordings exist — Hafs 'an 'Asim, Warsh 'an Nafi', Qalun 'an Nafi', Al-Duri 'an Abi 'Amr, Al-Bazzi and Qunbul 'an Ibn Kathir, Shu'ba 'an 'Asim, and others. Availability varies by reciter.
What is the difference between Murattal and Mujawwad recitation?
Murattal is the standard steady-paced recitation that strictly applies tajweed rules — the most common style for daily recordings. Mujawwad is a slower, more melodic style that emphasizes maqamat (musical modes), elongations, and ornamentation, typically used for formal recordings or public occasions.
Can I listen offline?
Yes — once you download MP3 files to your device, any standard audio player plays them offline. The Way2Quran website itself needs internet for streaming and browsing the catalog.
How does the Khatma (full Qur'an completion) tracker work?
Use the Khatmah feature in the main menu. Log what you have read or listened to each day, view your multi-day progress, and get suggestions for the next surah or juz' until you complete the entire Qur'an.
What are the virtual Qur'an radio stations?
They are 24/7 audio streams curated by reciter or recitation style. You can listen continuously without picking a specific surah — an uninterrupted flow of Qur'an recitation throughout the day.
What is the audio quality of the recitations?
Most recitations are encoded at high-quality MP3 bitrates (128–320 kbps) to balance fidelity with download size. Some older archival recordings may be at lower bitrates depending on the original source.
Can I read the Mushaf on Way2Quran?
Yes. The built-in Mushaf Reader lets you browse the full Qur'an page by page, with the option to play a surah's audio while you read.
I can't find a specific reciter or recitation. What should I do?
Use the Contact Us page to request a new reciter or recitation. New audio is added continuously, and we welcome suggestions to expand the library.
Can I use these recitations in my own app, video, or channel?
Personal, educational, and non-commercial da'wa (Islamic outreach) use is welcome. For any commercial or large-scale distribution, please contact us so we can clarify rights that belong to the original reciter.
