Quran passages used in the Sharʿī ruqyah

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ1

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ2

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds

ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ3

The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

مَٰلِكِ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ4

Sovereign of the Day of Recompense

إِيَّاكَ نَعۡبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسۡتَعِينُ5

It is You we worship and You we ask for help

ٱهۡدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ6

Guide us to the straight path

صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ غَيۡرِ ٱلۡمَغۡضُوبِ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ7

The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray

ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلۡحَيُّ ٱلۡقَيُّومُۚ لَا تَأۡخُذُهُۥ سِنَةࣱ وَلَا نَوۡمࣱۚ لَّهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ مَن ذَا ٱلَّذِي يَشۡفَعُ عِندَهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِهِۦۚ يَعۡلَمُ مَا بَيۡنَ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَهُمۡۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيۡءࣲ مِّنۡ عِلۡمِهِۦٓ إِلَّا بِمَا شَآءَۚ وَسِعَ كُرۡسِيُّهُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَۖ وَلَا يَـُٔودُهُۥ حِفۡظُهُمَاۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَلِيُّ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ255

Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great

ءَامَنَ ٱلرَّسُولُ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡهِ مِن رَّبِّهِۦ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَۚ كُلٌّ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ وَكُتُبِهِۦ وَرُسُلِهِۦ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيۡنَ أَحَدࣲ مِّن رُّسُلِهِۦۚ وَقَالُواْ سَمِعۡنَا وَأَطَعۡنَاۖ غُفۡرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيۡكَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ285

The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], "We make no distinction between any of His messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination

لَا يُكَلِّفُ ٱللَّهُ نَفۡسًا إِلَّا وُسۡعَهَاۚ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتۡ وَعَلَيۡهَا مَا ٱكۡتَسَبَتۡۗ رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذۡنَآ إِن نَّسِينَآ أَوۡ أَخۡطَأۡنَاۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحۡمِلۡ عَلَيۡنَآ إِصۡرࣰا كَمَا حَمَلۡتَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِنَاۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلۡنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِۦۖ وَٱعۡفُ عَنَّا وَٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا وَٱرۡحَمۡنَآۚ أَنتَ مَوۡلَىٰنَا فَٱنصُرۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ286

Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ1

Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One

ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ2

Allah, the Eternal Refuge

لَمۡ يَلِدۡ وَلَمۡ يُولَدۡ3

He neither begets nor is born

وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدُۢ4

Nor is there to Him any equivalent

قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡفَلَقِ1

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak

مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ2

From the evil of that which He created

وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ3

And from the evil of darkness when it settles

وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّـٰثَٰتِ فِي ٱلۡعُقَدِ4

And from the evil of the blowers in knots

وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ5

And from the evil of an envier when he envies

قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ1

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind

مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ2

The Sovereign of mankind

إِلَٰهِ ٱلنَّاسِ3

The God of mankind

مِن شَرِّ ٱلۡوَسۡوَاسِ ٱلۡخَنَّاسِ4

From the evil of the retreating whisperer

ٱلَّذِي يُوَسۡوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ5

Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind

مِنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ6

From among the jinn and mankind

قُلۡ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ1

Say, "O disbelievers

لَآ أَعۡبُدُ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ2

I do not worship what you worship

وَلَآ أَنتُمۡ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعۡبُدُ3

Nor are you worshippers of what I worship

وَلَآ أَنَا۠ عَابِدࣱ مَّا عَبَدتُّمۡ4

Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship

وَلَآ أَنتُمۡ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعۡبُدُ5

Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship

لَكُمۡ دِينُكُمۡ وَلِيَ دِينِ6

For you is your religion, and for me is my religion

۞وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنۡ أَلۡقِ عَصَاكَۖ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلۡقَفُ مَا يَأۡفِكُونَ117

And We inspired to Moses, "Throw your staff," and at once it devoured what they were falsifying

فَوَقَعَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَبَطَلَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ118

So the truth was established, and abolished was what they were doing

فَغُلِبُواْ هُنَالِكَ وَٱنقَلَبُواْ صَٰغِرِينَ119

And Pharaoh and his people were overcome right there and became debased

وَأُلۡقِيَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَٰجِدِينَ120

And the magicians fell down in prostration [to Allah]

قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ121

They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds

رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ122

The Lord of Moses and Aaron

وَقَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ ٱئۡتُونِي بِكُلِّ سَٰحِرٍ عَلِيمࣲ79

And Pharaoh said, "Bring to me every learned magician

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلۡقُواْ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلۡقُونَ80

So when the magicians came, Moses said to them, "Throw down whatever you will throw

فَلَمَّآ أَلۡقَوۡاْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ مَا جِئۡتُم بِهِ ٱلسِّحۡرُۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَيُبۡطِلُهُۥٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُصۡلِحُ عَمَلَ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ81

And when they had thrown, Moses said, "What you have brought is [only] magic. Indeed, Allah will expose its worthlessness. Indeed, Allah does not amend the work of corrupters

وَيُحِقُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡحَقَّ بِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ وَلَوۡ كَرِهَ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ82

And Allah will establish the truth by His words, even if the criminals dislike it

وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ مَا هُوَ شِفَآءࣱ وَرَحۡمَةࣱ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَلَا يَزِيدُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا خَسَارࣰا82

And We send down of the Qur'an that which is healing and mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss

قَالُواْ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِمَّآ أَن تُلۡقِيَ وَإِمَّآ أَن نَّكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنۡ أَلۡقَىٰ65

They said, "O Moses, either you throw or we will be the first to throw

قَالَ بَلۡ أَلۡقُواْۖ فَإِذَا حِبَالُهُمۡ وَعِصِيُّهُمۡ يُخَيَّلُ إِلَيۡهِ مِن سِحۡرِهِمۡ أَنَّهَا تَسۡعَىٰ66

He said, "Rather, you throw." And suddenly their ropes and staffs seemed to him from their magic that they were moving [like snakes]

فَأَوۡجَسَ فِي نَفۡسِهِۦ خِيفَةࣰ مُّوسَىٰ67

And he sensed within himself apprehension, did Moses

قُلۡنَا لَا تَخَفۡ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ68

Allah said, "Fear not. Indeed, it is you who are superior

وَأَلۡقِ مَا فِي يَمِينِكَ تَلۡقَفۡ مَا صَنَعُوٓاْۖ إِنَّمَا صَنَعُواْ كَيۡدُ سَٰحِرࣲۖ وَلَا يُفۡلِحُ ٱلسَّاحِرُ حَيۡثُ أَتَىٰ69

And throw what is in your right hand; it will swallow up what they have crafted. What they have crafted is but the trick of a magician, and the magician will not succeed wherever he is
